Upgrading only one pax on a booking with two - possible?

Hopefully this doesn't sound too stupid..

My currently booking is for two pax however only myself wants to upgrade.

When I go through the steps in bidding for the upgrade (all the way to the payment stage), it doesn't give me the option to choose only one passenger. Can anybody shed some light on this please?

Give customer service a call - I've upgraded one flyer on a multi person booking in the past.

It might be possible - my guess is that they will split the booking into 2 PNR's, then upgrade the one person who wishes to be upgraded.

But it won't be possible under the same booking number.
