Not sure why that has piqued your interest mate? This is the announced scheduled flight time is for QF95 once QF starts flying MEL-PER-LHR-PER-MEL-LAX-MEL with the 787.
787 goes:
Departs LHR at 13:15 arrives into MEL at 19:55
Departs MEL at 21:40 arrives into LAX at 19:00
Departs LAX at 23:55 arrives into MEL at 8:25
Departs MEL at 15:15 arrives into LHR at (the ungodly time of) 5:05
Daylight saving moves these around a bit, but you get the idea. Plus QF95/96 only operates 6 days pw.
We chose ANZ Perth - LA via Auckland for a trip in April 18. Booked very early and got business priced at a considerably lower price that that offered by Qantas. We dont fly a lot but have always flown Qantas as a first choice but the gap in narrowing and we thought we would have a go with another carrier.

Sorry my bad. Announced to long go for myself to remember. I like the departure time though. Bit worrying with turn around times if one goes techo.

The departure time is great. Would be good to see a night time departure out of Sydney too.
