I have recently completed a return journey from CBR to HKG via MEL on VA, and the appropriate status credits and points have been credited. However, I've noticed that the number of eligible sectors required for the next tier upgrade remains unchanged.Â
VA was the marketing carrier for all these flights and the seats were not reward bookings, so I assume that my journey should have consisted of 4 eligible sectors. Any suggestions as to why this has happened?
The first number (Eligible Sectors Flown, should have gone up by 4, based on what you said). The second number stays at whatever is required for the level specified and doesn't go down
Does flying with SQ (codeshares with VA with VA flight number) counted as eligible sector for requalifying? The girl on the phone with VA said yes (when i gave her my flight details), however, my status credits have been added but not the eligible sector (i had to get 1 more to requalify for platinum) but this has not changed?

Ah, thanks! I incorrectly assumed that the "Eligible sector required to upgrade" number indicated how many more eligible sectors I needed to fly to upgrade.

They should count if you booked the flight through VA.. Call and confirm. I've had eligible sectors not show up a couple of times but they have always added them after calling.
