I have a first class redemption booking with SQ from Singapore to Melbourne later this year. I then have a VA business class flight booked on a separate PNR but on the same day as I arrive. Will SQ check my bags all the way through to Brisbane if I ask them at check in in Singapore?
Hi - not sure it will make a difference. You will still need to collect your bags and clear customs in Melbourne, and then check in to the VA flight. I personally would not bother.
Neil R is right - once you land in Melbourne you'll need to collect luggage, clear immigration. Then walk 50m to the right to T3, VA Domestic Terminal, and check-in for your next flight there. It makes no difference whether SQ through-check the bags or not.
