What is the likelihood of Virgin & Air Canada to deepen their loyalty relationship in the near future?

I'll be moving to Canada in August and I will be based in Calgary. My new role will require me to take 3-5 flights within Canada, and the occasional flight in continental USA. I'm covered with Delta in the US, and I know there is plans of Air Canada and VA strengthening their loyalty arrangements. How soon do we think this will happen?

I don’t think they are in an immediate hurry to improv their relationship given there’s no real incentive for them to do so. They would rather deepen their ties with Delta then with AC.
