Hi, We will be booking P.E seats in September with Lufthansa.com BNE-AOI via HKG & MUC. Question- Does anyone know if we will be eligible to put in for upgrades to business on the QF97. Showing 787-9 Dreamliner? How does it work if you book with Star Alliance airline but fly with One World? Thanks
You will only be eligible for upgrades on Qantas flights with points if you are on a QF flight number. If your Lufthansa booking is a LH flight number for that flight, it is not possible for u to upgrade
Thanks, yes it is showing QF97 to HKG and LH's to Europe and then QF98 HKG to Aust. Will I add the booking reference that I receive from Lufthansa to my Qantas app for the upgrade? Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

You will have to upgrade using your booking reference but I'm not sure if the one Lufthansa gave you is the correct one. The Lufthansa booking reference is for checking on Lufthansa's website but try entering on Qantas' website. If that doesn't work, call up and ask for the booking reference for Qantas. From there it's just checking if you're in an eligible fare class from the Qantas website and then logging in to your account to use your points to bid for an upgrade.

Have you advised Qantas you are flying with them, and given them your FF Number? If not, I would do so as soon as possible, and talk to them.
