Traveling Tokyo - Melbourne on JAL in April. There will be 3 of us traveling in Business Class but i'll have 2 family members on the same flight in Economy. Has anyone in a similar situation been able to get an economy passenger in as a guest at the Sakura Lounge? I have checked the JAL site and it only mentions guests for those traveling in First, nothing is stated yes or no about Business class. Thanks.

I think you might be out of luck here.

JAL's website shows only first class passengers and JMB Sapphire (Oneworld Sapphire/Qantas Gold equivalent) status holders and higher can bring a guest into the Sakura lounge.

Oneworld lounge rules also explicitly allow one guest per first class passenger, but business class passengers can't usually bring in guests unless the operating airlines permits it.

For example, Qantas is generous and allows one guest per business class passenger, but Cathay Pacific follows the Oneworld guidelines and doesn't permit guests for business class.

Unfortunately I think JAL is the same and does not permit guests in business class since they would have definitely stated it on their website otherwise.

And Qantas also restricts the guest access to same flight only.
