Just posted a response to the DL Buys 20% of LATAM thread, which is long and detailed.

Several points were flagged in the post as an 'unordered list' (editing tools).

It appears that the unordered list function has no way to edit the size of font, which is entirely different to the font that the post was typed in. Is this 'hard-coded' in the response box? If so, it should be representative of the of the default font, size and parameter.

Once text is selected and nominated as an unordered list, those list points end up with a substantially larger font and appear to be automatically 'bold-ened'. Ugly.

kimshep, your list in the comment thread you are referring to looks fine in the browsers I have tested. We will not allow editing of the font sizes for obvious reason of site consistency.

For rendering issues please provide details of the browser you are using and screen shots so we can accurately isolate the issue as there is simply too many browsers and versions for us to be able to test everything. Thanks.

This was with the most recent release of your preferred browser - Google Chrome. Checking Help / About reveals:

Google Chrome is up to date

Version 77.0.3865.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)

The reason it looks fine is because it was somehow edited by ET staff, after being posted. When I posted to the site, the points were considerably larger than the text and displayed as such and in viewing the post subsequently displayed accordingly, which was what prompted me to add a second post offering my apologies to readers and advising all that it had been reported as a bug. The change of font size was made approximately 12-15 minutes after the post was displayed on the site.

Perhaps this sample might determine what is happening? Whilst I am typing this, the text is displayed in Times Roman font. I will insert an unordered list and see if it replicates, as reported.

  • This is an unordered list.
  • This is an ordered list.
  • Should an ordered / unordered list be indented?

Also, I have reported a bug with the issue of Bold, Underline and Italic not working. I have not received a response on this.

OK, the unordered list issue seems to be resolved now. Since I have not updated my browser since the issue was reported, I'm assuming that this was a 'fix' at your end. Thank you.
