Is it safe travelling on a Chinese airline and transiting through a Chinese airport whilst the Corona Virus is active?

Perhaps a more accurate question - will transiting via China (or HKG) cause you problems..?

In my case yes - NSW private schools have a policy of 14 day exclusion for all children where a person living with them, transited via HKG or china since ncv became notifiable.

And in terms of fatality - look up the stats on influenza in the USA for the current season - but no-one avoids visiting...
