Incidentally the food and service on the flight to Melbourne were both fantastic. Sparkling wine before takeoff, choice from 2 reds and 2 whites and a choice of the turkey melt (very tasty) and the quinoa salad.
I'd say that Virgin is back. As a platinum with both QF & VA and having flown Qantas biz a few times recently, the cost differential makes Virgin a compelling choice.
