With news reports circulating about available of testing, I'm wondering about people's experience with pre-departure travel COVID PCR tests. As a paid service, are they readily available in Brisbane and Sydney? Are the same day tests a safer bet to ensure results are received before the departure flight? Any feedback would be appreciated!

If it can be done and turned around fast why not.I have dealt with SA Pathology where the Quickest was 17 hours turn around from getting tested to results next day which was the best to the worst which was Queensland Health including Drafts sent between their own people and the testing place in Adelaide and a Hospital in Cairns a disgusting 72 to 75 hours.

We also used the Sydney service at the airport before our flight and turnaround was within an hour. We booked and paid online and it went quickly. This was early December.

Hi everyone, just a follow-up on my original message. I used the PCR test service at Sydney Airport earlier this month and got the printed test results in around an hour. It was fairly busy on the day but smooth nevertheless.
