Its interesting that Rex gets the biggest benefit from this. Although I do understand the country services needing some support in these trying times, it should be open to all airlines totender for.

Got an email from Velocity this morning, that clarified the position - “ Since we weren't planning on reviewing your status until 11 January 2021, you'll get a further 12 months once you reach that date.” So it is an extra year of membership! Good on Velocity for clarifying.

I have the same issue with VA. My gold status was due for review in Jan 2021 before the extension was announced. Surely it must be Jan 2022 with the 12 month extension provided ? It would be great if Virgin could clarify it.

Agree I Searched for flights to Europe 10 months out and couldn't find anything. I think Etihad and Singapore Airlines have closed their redemption flights to Velocity. Better off getting points directly with them or the opposition.
