Members of the Emirates Skywards and Marriott Bonvoy rewards programs can now look forward to pocketing extra points and tapping into useful perks under a partnership between the two schemes.

Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members will earn 3 Marriott points per US$1 spent on Emirates flight fares, excluding taxes and surcharges, in addition to Skywards miles normally earned. When it comes time to take-off, those members also get priority check-in and priority boarding with Emirates.

Skywards Silver, Gold and Platinum frequent flyers also get similar benefits in reverse, including earning an extra 1 Skywards Mile per US$1 spent on stays at eligible Marriott properties, plus 4pm check-out, elite check-in and complimentary in-room WiFi. Bonus Skywards Miles are only earned on room rates and not incidentals like dining.

Emirates Skywards members arguably get the slightly sweeter deal here, with the guaranteed 4pm check-out at Marriott properties usually only offered to Platinum Elite members of Marriott Bonvoy.

These benefits come part of Your World Rewards, a partnership program between Emirates and Marriott. The airline previously had a similar arrangement with Starwood Preferred Guest before it was merged with Marriott in mid-2018.

Naturally, status matches between the two programs are still off-limits, as well as the ability to earn Tier Miles to upgrade your Skywards status from Marriott stays. If you currently opt to earn airline miles instead of points at Marriott hotels, then you'll need to switch back to earning Bonvoy points to take part in Your World Rewards.

To sign-up for Your World Rewards, head to the Marriott registration page and enter your Emirates Skywards number.
