Hilton opens Executive Lounges to Virgin Australia Gold, Platinum frequent flyers

Throughout April, Virgin Australia Velocity Gold and Platinum frequent flyers can relax and unwind in Hilton hotel Executive Lounges throughout Australia when staying in any room type, even those which don’t typically include lounge access.

Valid at Hiltons in Sydney, Melbourne South Wharf, Brisbane, Adelaide, Darwin, Surfers Paradise and Cairns, eligible Velocity members can simply present their Velocity card and provide their room number to Executive Lounge staff for access during their stay.

Inside the lounges you’ll find complimentary breakfast in the mornings, snacks throughout the day and evening drinks and canapés, of which you’re free to indulge at no charge.

For something more substantial, all Velocity members – whether Red, Silver, Gold or Platinum – can also save 20% on restaurant dining at selected Hilton and DoubleTree hotel restaurants across Australia throughout April, extended to June in Sydney and Melbourne.

For more information, conditions and a list of participating restaurants, head to the Hilton website.

Hi Chris,

Is this valid for all patrons in room or only those with Gold individually?

Hi Jay, the T&Cs of the offer don't make this clear but usually lounge access for HHonors Diamond is given to all guests in the Diamond-booked room, so it'd be reasonable to think that lounge access for Gold/Platinum members would also be given to guests staying in the same room (but not those staying in other rooms under the same booking) – all you can do is ask at the door or contact a hotel directly to clarify.

Hi Chris,

I can only speak for Hilton Sydney but would suggest that Velocity members will need to show their card on check in, otherwise their room  swipe key  will not access the Executive Lounge floor (36) in the lift.
