Jetlagged and need something to do in the middle of the night? The Club L lounge at the Langham Place hotel in Beijing Capital Airport is now open twenty-four hours a day.
It's an especially useful move for business travellers arriving at the hotel before the normal check-in times or after the check-out deadline.
It's not the same change that the Novotel in Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport made, though. That hotel changed the way it sells rooms to a full 24-hour room rate a couple months ago.
At the Beijing airport Langham Place, guests staying on the hotel's Club Floor have access to the lounge, which is split into four separate areas: Revitalise, Replay, Relax and Refuel.
The Revitalise area is for guests arriving outside the normal check-in times who want to freshen up and clean off the grime from a long flight or a long day in Beijing, with rain showers and Chuan Spa bathroom products.
Replay has a pool table, PS3 machines and arcade games to wind down after a long day (or for those days that can only be made better by some video game violence). There's also a telescope for planespotters -- assuming you can see through Beijing's smog -- and an "Internet den" with both Mac and Windows machines.
In the Relax zone, massage chairs, comfy seating and the soothing sight of a fish tank will help you to chill out.
And if you prefer to chill out with a cold glass of something, the Refuel area has cocktails, champagne, wine and a range of other drinks 24/7, plus an all day and night buffet if your meal times are out of whack with jetlag.
The hotel even has an art gallery, if that's your thing.
