Neil Perry pops up at Qantas Club for 'pop-up dining experience'

By David Flynn, November 7 2013

Qantas is continuing its series of ‘pop-up dining experiences’ at domestic airport lounges with Neil Perry's handmade arancini next on the menu.

Visitors to the Qantas Club at Melbourne Airport between 3pm and 6pm on Thursday December 5 will be treated to delicious handmade arancinis from Perry's Rosetta Ristorante in Melbourne, partnered with Italian wine and Campari.

"Rosetta Ristorante takes inspiration from my travels across Italy and aims to produce an elegant combination of regional recipes and the freshest seasonal produce" Perry says.

Qantas' pop up lounge experiences, which began in September with a gourmet meat pie at the Sydney Qantas Club, gives club members the opportunity to try signature creations from a cross-section of the country's best chefs.

Qantas promises that more pop-up experiences will be rolled out to Qantas Club lounges across the country.

Arancini are fantastic. They were served at a function I attended last year as finger food, and it's amazing that something so small and so seemingly simple could pack such a punch.

Of course, if the MEL QP arancinis turn out to be a flop, there will be no end to jokes about this pop-up having ballsed-up...
