New rules for Aussies travelling to Bali, Jakarta
The ‘All Indonesia’ digital declaration card is now mandatory for international visitors.
While Bali remains one of Australia’s favourite getaway destinations, travellers headed to the island – along with the cities of Jakarta and Surabaya – need to know about new entry requirements which have come into place this week, and will extend across the country from October 1.
The new All Indonesia card must be completed within three days – 72 hours, to be precise – of your arrival to Indonesia.
Similar to digital arrival forms now in place in Singapore and Malaysia, the All Indonesia card is a mandatory digital entry declaration for recording your intended arrival and departure details, along with accommodation during your stay.
Happily, the All Indonesia card is free and streamlines immigration, customs and health procedures into a single form, replacing several separate declarations.
The process takes under three minutes to complete, with travellers receiving via email a QR code to be presented to immigration/customs upon arrival.
However, the All Indonesia card doesn’t replace the necessary visa or visa-on-arrival, which costs AUD$50 for Australian passport holders.
Travellers can apply for the All Indonesia arrivals card at the official government website allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id.

You'd be exempt from a visa, as has always been the case, but you'd still have to complete this digital arrivals card, same deal as when visiting Singapore.
