Microsoft boosts free OneDrive online storage space to 15GB
TRAVEL TECH | Microsoft is now rolling out more free storage in its OneDrive online service, along with lower prices for adding extra cloud capacity.
The changes were announced late month but kick in as of today.
Entry-level OneDrive accounts – the free ones available to anybody who cares ot sign up – will more than double from 7GB to 15GB
If that's not enough, you can buy additional blocks of 100GB and 200GB of OneDrive space for a fraction of the former price – 100GB now costs A$2 per month, down from $9/month, while 200GB drops to A$4/month from A$14/month.
Office 365 subscribers will also see a boost in their OneDrive accounts, rocketing from 20GB to a hefty 1TB.
These 'software as a service' accounts, which include the use of Microsoft's Office for iPad apps, kick off from A$9/month for Office 365 personal and A$12/month for Office 365 Home.
All of these OneDrive updates will kick in throughout July.
