Madrid is set to host the world’s largest Novotel hotel with the Novotel Convención Madrid set to open in 2016.
The 790-room hotel will also be Madrid’s third largest hotel and is already one of the capital’s most historical, since originally opening its doors in 1978.
Located in Calle O´Donnell, the property is in the centre of Madrid and just five minutes from the Parque del Retiro.
Before reopening in 2016, the building is undergoing a complete a refurbishment and redesign before taking on the Novotel façade.
Added to the mix is an outdoor pool on the roof terrace, a fitness centre, business floors, a children’s corner and wireless Internet.
Meeting space totalling 2,400m2 will come equipped with the latest conference technologies while capable of hosting events for up to 1,500 people.
Future guests can earn points through the Le Club Accorhotels program while high-tier members may also enjoy benefits such as room upgrades, free Internet and early check-in.
Novotel currently has three hotels in Madrid: Novotel Campo de las Naciones, Novotel Puente de la Paz and Novotel Sanchinarro, with Novotel Convención set to become the fourth.
