Novotel Sydney Parramatta completes multi-million dollar refurb

Following a 12 month refurbishment program, renovations at the Novotel Sydney Parramatta are complete, giving the property a complete facelift.

Along with the atrium, all 194 guestrooms now take on a much more contemporary look:

Boasting new furniture and carpets in the rooms and new showers, vanities and mirrors in the bathrooms, the facelift has seen the property rebranded from Sebel to Novotel.

When it comes to the bathrooms, we do hope it’s a case of the photo not doing the property justice:

Although Accor sees the Novotel Sydney Parramatta as a key conferencing and event hotel in their portfolio, recurring events such as the NRL Grand Final and upcoming Sydney Festival will see a steady flow of guests flocking to Sydney’s west.

Given the hotel’s 24km separation from the Sydney CBD, many business travellers may realistically find themselves booked a little closer to home, though conference, event and convention organisers may need look no further.

Featuring two boardrooms, eight multi-purpose meeting rooms and a ballroom with seating for up to 550 people, guests in meeting rooms can also make use of ‘state-of-the-art audio visual equipment’, and will have access to dedicated event personnel.

To celebrate the hotel’s refurbishment, conference organisers are offered 10% off the bill plus free data projector hire, free car parking, free wireless internet or  a free round of drinks for any event confirmed before 30 November for events held before 31 March 2014.

A week or two ago I stayed here in one of the corner rooms.  It was cramped and without a proper wardrobe as they put the teamaking facilities on a unit inside the wardrobe. The room was extremely noisy ALL NIGHT from "motor noises" which might relate to the service lift ajacent.  It is a great location  BUT BEWARE if you need a good nights sleep. In spite of advising them three times about probelms with their FOXTEL service, nothing was done over the three days I was staying.
