Flying around the world in business class always sounds like a good idea, and a new round-the-world (RTW) fare from the Oneworld airline alliance delivers this country-hopping trip for just $10,500 plus any applicable taxes and government charges.
The catch? It's restricted to the southern hemisphere – which isn't such a bad thing it you're over the UK, Europe, the USA and Asia, and eager to explore a very different slice of the globe.
It covers flights on a South West Pacific–Africa-South America-South West Pacific routing, flying in a westwards or eastwards direction, with flights allowed within each continent.
From Australia, the special Southern Hemisphere Explorer fare takes the following routes under its wing:
- Qantas for Sydney-Johannesburg or Sydney-Santiago (or vice versa)
- LATAM for Sydney-Santiago (with a stopover in Auckland if you fancy) or, from October 2017, Melbourne-Santiago
- LATAM from Santiago to São Paolo, and then São Paolo to Johannesburg
