Philippine Airlines to fly nonstop to Sydney, Melbourne

Philippine Airlines is shaking up its flight schedule between Sydney, Melbourne and Manila from the end of next month.
Starting 28 October, PAL will replace its five-weekly triangular service, where each flight stops in both Sydney and Melbourne, in favour of four weekly nonstop flights from Sydney and three weekly flights from Melbourne.
Sydney flights will run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, leaving at 0945.
Melbourne will see flights on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday mornings, departing at 0950.
The airline's 370-seat Boeing 777-300ER planes with both business and economy class will continue to be used on the route.
In business class at the pointy end, business travellers will find 42 angled lie-flat seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, while economy down the back stretches from rows 31-72 in an ultra-squashed 3-4-3 layout.
