Priority Club hikes reward points needed for hotel bookings

IN BRIEF | Sitting on a stash of Priority Club reward points? Then you'd better move fast on your next reward booking.

From January 18 the number of points you need for a free night at high-end properties such as the Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza and Hotel Indigo will increase by as much as 40%, reports the Priority Club Insider website.

Redemption bookings at Crowne Plaza and Hotel Indigo hotels currently cost 25,000 points, but from January 18 there will be a second tier of 35,000 points.

The top rate for Intercontinental hotels will rise from 40,000 Priority Club points per night to 50,000.

Thanks for the early warning, I have some PC points to burn and I like the Indigo hotels, nicer than the same-same style of Interconts, so I may as well make a booking in advanced for my next trip!
