Starwood opens Aloft Manhattan Downtown: Financial District hotel

Starwood continues to grow its funky Aloft brand with the opening of the Aloft Manhattan Downtown: Financial District hotel in New York City, geared towards tech-toting travellers but those who also appreciate live music while on the road as opposed to a mere iPod playlist.

Nestled on Ann Street in lower Manhattan, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the New York Stock Exchange and One World Trade Centre for business travellers and also the Brooklyn Bridge and Fulton St subway stations for leisure guests or those exploring in their free time.

The property’s 125 loft-like rooms provide working desks, coffee makers and a safe…

… along with modern bathrooms featuring walk-in showers:

A 24-hour gym also stands at the ready, along with the brand’s signature W XYZ lounge with live music acts, ‘re:fuel’ – a grab and go counter with food and drinks – and the ‘re:mix’ lounge for beverages in a more refined atmosphere

The Aloft Manhattan Downtown hotel joins the existing Aloft Harlem and Aloft New York Brooklyn hotels in the New York City area, and will be followed by the Aloft New York Midtown Manhattan hotel in late 2017.

Members of the Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program can earn and redeem Starpoints when staying at any of the Aloft hotels above, and with the portfolio’s range of brands in New York including Westin, W, The Luxury Collection, St. Regis, Le Meridien, Sheraton and Four Points.
