The Qantas Sydney, Melbourne First Class Lounge Guide [2022]
Mar 14, 2022, 02:50 PMAny news on Brisbane? I believe both Emirates and Qantas have shut their lounges, must be tight in whatever lounge is standing in. Have a trip planned in 5 weeks, first in over two years, a bit of good lounge experience would be a happy thing. Not sad about Narita lounge, the only good thing abou...

Will Airbus’ new ‘e-glass’ dimmable A350 windows spoil your view?
Sep 22, 2021, 04:50 PMLZ - I am happy if I can keep the window half open on a day flight, so take your QF 787 experience as a positive. Sadly, at my advanced age, if I can't get a bit of daylight on the day flights I completely pass out and then can't sleep at night. It's a bit like putting a blanket over the cocky's ...

Will Airbus’ new ‘e-glass’ dimmable A350 windows spoil your view?
Sep 22, 2021, 04:19 PMLordZones - well if you like control of your blinds you lose it with these new A350 window blinds. The crew can decide when you can look outside and when not. They can set the controls to over ride your personal button at the window. Totally agree on night flights - but not for day flights.

Review: Review: Air New Zealand Boeing 787 Business Premier class [2021]
May 12, 2021, 05:12 PM100% agree it’s not a great seat. Qantas A330 seat beats it hands down. Flew from Buenos Aires to Auckland on it a couple of years ago, found it very cramped and narrow with no space for anything. Your feet in the aisle get bumped at night when trying to sleep, especially as the 787 &n...

Which Programme is best to join - Swiss or Singapore
Mar 19, 2021, 04:36 PMHaving lived in Zuerich, I have had a lot of experience with the Swiss/Lufthansa Miles & More program over many years. It was terrific for intra-Europe flights when I lived there, both via purchase and points redemption especially given that Swiss, Austrian and Lufthansa have a lot of flight...

Greece to allow AUS tourists - an opportunity for Qantas?
May 22, 2020, 04:39 PMAs a frequent traveller to Athens, I for one would enjoy a direct service by Qantas, especially if that could be open jawed with another Euro city (not London). Despite it being, as you say, mainly a leisure destination, you would be surprised how many of us "leisureites" travel in business!
