• Boeing are going to have to lift their game - the current 777 is a plane we try to avoid. Way too noisy, like trying to sleep next to a Massey Ferguson tractor. And Lufthansa are crazy with their new layout - the current one is inconvenient and uncomfortable - but the new layout results in some s...

  • Any news on Brisbane? I believe both Emirates and Qantas have shut their lounges, must be tight in whatever lounge is standing in. Have a trip planned in 5 weeks, first in over two years, a bit of good lounge experience would be a happy thing. Not sad about Narita lounge, the only good thing abou...

  • LZ - I am happy if I can keep the window half open on a day flight, so take your QF 787 experience as a positive. It was terrific for intra-Europe flights when I lived there, both via purchase and points redemption especially given that Swiss, Austrian and Lufthansa have a lot of flight...

  • As a frequent traveller to Athens, I for one would enjoy a direct service by Qantas, especially if that could be open jawed with another Euro city (not London). Despite it being, as you say, mainly a leisure destination, you would be surprised how many of us "leisureites" travel in business!
