Honestly, this is all I want from PE. A flatbed so I can get some sleep - I find it very hard to justify the existing PE prices. PE return to Europe on Emirates is now almost as expensive as J on China Eastern. Give me a flatbed with poor soft product over a seat with good soft product all day long.

Very exciting and glad Qantas will have competition in its non stop to Europe flights! 

Shame about the toilet situation, just 2 toilets for 180 economy passengers. That’s worse than Ryanair, Scoot and Jetstar. Would hate to be stuck on this for anymore than 2 hours. 

Removing seat selection from a 10k round trip business class ticket to Europe just feels like price gouging, noticed it on a recent Etihad quote and couldn't believe I would need to fork out extra to ensure my wife and I could sit together.

I think you are right when it comes to short haul or even medium haul, but if you gave people no recline on the 14 hour trip from SYD to Dubai they would never fly with you again. On those distances, sitting upright for 14 hours is cruel and unusual punishment.
