I agree - if anything it might help capacity issues within the lounge in Melbourne. I think JQ pax have long exploited QF benefits and has blurred the lines between the two airlines. If anything it could see a bit of a shift to VA on more leisure markets for those who hold tier with both programs

I am looking at some airfares for Europe next year, and if I am correct the Qatar sale fares don't have any FF earn for QFF, despite been part of one world. What are peoples thoughts on fare family earn, and restricting this ability on sale fares, in the hope of people buying up the fare brands? ...

With only 8 seats available it is a smarter way of getting people to at least buy a flexi if they want to upgrade with points. You can still bid to upgrade off a saver for Short Haul though

Where are you looking? I can see award inventory in J when i do a Business search on the homepage and then swtich to points... Sample search MELAKL 16 March returns 33,800 pts + $95.22
