The Transpacific J cabin competition is tough but Qantas is not that far behind. Polaris and Delta One suite are not coming to Australia Anytime soon. United's Dreamliners will be the last model to be upgraded in its fleet (2025+?); So will Delta's 77Ls + their first A359 is still on the assembly...

It's unlikely but I would love to see some codeshare agreements with Virgin Atlantic so people can do Australia-London via HKG or PVG. (Even LAX)

If it's really like he said that the delivery would be 2020 plus then why not skip all these and go straight to 777X? Given that the traffic is growing after all, LAX, AUH, HKG, PEK they all will have the demand for 777X capacity by the time.

China Southern A380s have decent J seats (although looks cheap), but their other products (ground operation, lounge, service on board, IFE content) are terrible most of time.
