    Just came back from Singapore on a night flight, I found the seat in bed mode was quite hard and uncomfortable and had a not so good sleep, great to lounge in though. The seat over in the regional configured a350 felt a lot softer and more comfortable despite being smaller.

    Knew things were rocky but this a big move. Can’t see how Virgin can survive internationally. What happens to AirNew Zealand’s feeder traffic from Australia and vis versa?

    Absolute arrogance but that is just NZ, he does not say that AKL is the only place to get the wide body across the Tasman on their metal. You cant beat EK on Tasman. QF/EK only choice for me to Ch-Ch and timings are perfect.

    Have been using Sri Lankan to Colombo frequently, A330-300 product has lie flat seats (similar to Cathay business). Like the fact direct into Colombo, flight back from Colombo leaves just after midnight and gets into Melbourne around 3pm, always sleep and feel refreshed on arrival. Great business...

    My experience is that it works for 80% of my trips going from SYD, coming back whether tagged first of business they never come out in the first lot. Find SYD to be the worst airport for this.
