I'm keen to know whether you can still earn VA status credits on SQ flights when you book an SQ flight and then use miles to upgrade to a higher class cabin? I'm aware that previously when i booked SQ flights and paid using SQ miles, that I wasn't legible for VA SCs.... Is upgrades the same deal ...

Let's hope Singapore Airlines and Hainan Group buy up VA so one can choose SQ for international flights/VA for domestic and have the options of Scoot/Tiger and Hainan airlines for all the other flight options.
