• it is shame to see Dragonair finally destroyed, they were always a better service with better staff (esp. to mainland china) that really put the blowtorch to CX and made them lift their game

  • Immigration at kowloon west requires check in around along time before departure and is subject to lengthy delays. For now the HSR is best for long haul trips into China.

  • This has been my approach after several years as platinum QFF and gold in VA. I analysed travel bookings and found I was paying significantly more to stick with the carrier of choice rather than book the shortest or best fares.

  • the changes are now live - the new booking engine 'helpfully' selects more expensive options for you forcing you to opt-in to the lowest standard awards every time.lowest standard awards are no longer available less than 90 days out - for HKG-SYD business this is a 55% increase in miles required ...

  • they wont be flying to korea or taiwan as the markets are either too competitive or too small. id like to see them increase China flights with 788s taken off jetstar as their international operations are closed down

    Apr 20, 2015, 04:20 PM

Chinese cuisine in Mong Kok restaurants should typically be avoided, it is there for Mainland Chinese shoppers and usually contains a lot of MSG and other chemicals whilst being very expensive. If you want excellent yum cha with a local experience then Tim Ho Wan at Sham Shui Po is your best bet.
