My previous experience was a disaster with Air France. Note they are a public sector airline and French public sector are running rolling strikes again. That was my disastrous experience last time and I would advise not to take the risk.

We must be visiting a different Dubai. The food in the Emirates First Lounge is average and the fawning but again average service matches it. That leaves aside the bathrooms which must be most underwhelming for first lounges i have ever been in. Lots of granite very squeezy and no functionality. ...
Much as i enjoy wide body jets if you fly in US over longer distances than many of our flights and it is mostly 757's and 737's. Australians been too spoilt domestically for too long and economic reality will eventually bite!

Flew SQ for first time in 20 years last week. Poor on lounges and general service and food and wine much better on QF but large SQ seat is attractive although i needed help to convert it to a bed and the angled sleeping is tricky and I don't have large feet.
