A Windows PC which doesn't resume instantly from sleep is not properly configured (unfortunately this seems to be the case with most OEMs). All of my Windows 7 PCs resume consistently faster than my Mac. Similarly, iCloud seems like a poor-man's Windows Live Mesh (which is available on the Mac)....
