I'd definitely be following this one up with Velocity. Occasionally they need a nudge when processing these claims.

It may be possible that the delay is not on Velocity side. I have travelled with SQ and Air New Zealand with Velocity number and the points/status credit is deposited the following working day.

I just flew with Etihad a couple of weeks ago and the points appeared a few days later. I booked it through VA with a VA flight number. I know this sort of question gets asked a lot, but if you book an Etihad flight throught the Etihad website so you get EY flights, even if they are on codeshare routes, do you gets FF points and SC points?

Hi SaltyJ, I can confirm that yes, you do. Any Etihad flight i've taken has been booked direct, with an EY flight number (although it may explain why points & SC take so long to be credited - see my comment below!!)
The velocity website states:
When travelling on eligible Etihad Airways fares and flights with an Etihad Airways (EY) flight number, you can earn Points on your ticket.
You can also earn Status Credits on all eligible fare types.

SaltyJ - sorry, when you say codeshare, did you mean when another airline is operating on behalf of Etihad?
In which case, you won't earn points and status with velocity - it has to be EY (or VA) metal....

It does often seem to be that claiming from Etihad causes the problems!
stewardnurse, depending on your status, you may have more luck trying the 'direct' email contact (i.e. [email protected] - I was advised to do this by call centre staff and sure enough, the missing points & SC were sorted by the follwing day....
This was as a platinum member, but I would assume the response would be as quick through gold?

you will be credited the class that you paid for normally. VS is a little slow.

Yeah I have had a number of issues of points being issued from its partners, such as apple, waiting on about 1000 points after buying an iphone, contacted virgin but no response
