If you're going to Paddington Station, then there are showers available there. From the Network Rail website:
"Showers including accessible showers are available on platform 12 at the public toilets. These can be accessed via our toilet attendant from Monday to Sunday 07:00 to 23:00. Shower tokens can be purchased from excess luggage on platform 12. Token cost is £5 and it provides access and a towel."
When is your flight? I'm hoping that at least one of the Plaza Premium Arrivals lounges will be open by December, when I'm due to travel.
Short of the ridiculous price that Aerotel wants to charge, the other possibility is that the Leonardo Hotel on Bath Rd allows day room arrivals from 7am, at a much more reasonable price. But you'd have to get the hotel shuttle there.
Hi John. My flight was last week. Didn't end up finding any solution so just used the showers at SIN in the way and "survived" with an onboard cleanup and PJs during the flight!!!
Plaza Ps arrivals have been closed since COVID in all terminals so I'm wondering if they'll never be back...
Wasn't heading into London so Paddington wasn't an option. Didn't see your message before travelling so didn't investigate the Leonardo hotel option.
Also the aerotel hotel was about half that price when I used it in February (although that was still an expensive shower!) And apart from that cost it was a good arrangement.
Qantas just needs to have some arrangement back with AA again, that was the perfect option. I'd even happily pay for it....
