Point Hacks has just released info that MPC App can be used for Visa Waiver countries. I'm unsure if this has recently changed. I have a trip in a month, but if any traveller here is heading to the US on an australian passport and to LAX, some feedback would be great if this makes our lives easier?

MPC is awesome. I have found the queue empty - walk straight up to the customs person.

I use it on a Canadian passport, but it does appear to say ESTA passengers can also use it. There is 48 ports of entry where it can be used (Google CBP MPC).

When did you use it last please? Do we know how long MPC has been in action for Australians?

Hi. I just used it again yesterday, in Phoenix. It pays to ask where the dedicated queue is, as it was not well signed.

I had a fellow traveller on an Aussie passport with an ESTA, and she was able to use it as well.

Amazingly, the customs agent doesn’t even look at your passport anymore! You are asked to stand in front of the camera and they obviously use biometrics to validate you.

Once again, there was no one in the queue. I stepped straight up to the customs agent and was processed immediately.

No need to fill out any paper forms.

Better than Aus now!
