Landing in business with Qantas in Hong Kong and depart premium with Cathay. Any lounge?

Hi team. My wife and friend will both be landing in business class with Qantas in Hong Kong and an onward flight 4 hours later Cathay Pacific flight in premium economy to the uk. The flights are booked with Qantas points separately as no full journey was available at the time: Iv liked both flights ringing Qantas and they said boarding passes to the final destination will be issued in Melbourne. My question is do you think they can use any lounge in Hong Kong due to the inward business ticket with Qantas . Many thanks

Not unless you have equivalent of Sapphire status with a Oneworld airline. Lounge access is determined by your next flight not your last.

Hi LoveToFly – am adding my endorsement of what Reeves35 has said, unfortunately flying into HKG on a business ticket but flying out of HKG on a premium economy ticket doesn't entitle you to any lounge access on the outbound journey.
