China Southern Premium Economy - Yes/No

Hi there, just doing some research on MEL-BKK with China Southern Premium Economy. Its half the price of Cathay's offer and just wondered what the experience might be like?

Though I'm notorious on AusBT for being a CX fanboy, I'd stick to CX or go directly in TG Econ because neither PE or Econ on CZ A330-300 have personal TVs according to SeatGuru (though Biz and F do).

All of China Southern's Australian services are now scheduled to have PTV's in all classes.
 

Hmmm, SeatGuru says otherwise.

If you don't mind going through Canton and the price is that much cheaper- go for it. CZs service is mediocre at best but by all means fits its purpose... you get what you pay for basically. Cathay's service is much better in terms of just about everything (food, seat, crew can actually speak English) but worth a shot!

If price is not the issue go with Cathay every time,if price is the main issue go with China Southern ,it' your final call price versus service!!
