Will Etihad Gold grants me access for Virgin international flights to NZ? The flight will be on VA code and VA metal.

I believe they use the Air New Zealand Lounge at MEL.

You cannot access anz lounge if flying va if you have etihad status only. I tried in mel and was told no. This is also stipulated on etihad website. Sorry!

Well, that's exactly the thing I worried about. Would you be able to point me out where in the etihad website is it stipulated?

BTW, do you get any extra baggage allowance?
