Qantas flights on VA metal? I just logged on to my QFF account to see if my employer had booked some flights for me yet. All my flights are there under "my bookings" with my QFF number. Yet all the flights are VA flights operated by Virgin Australia. What is going on here? Is this perhaps a booking made by Qantas Travel? And do you think I could credit the points to my Velocity account instead, as I am Gold with Velocity, but only silver with QF. Or even double dip and get points on both?

Suspect just your travel agent uses Amadeus as their core booking sytem and has your QFF number attached.
Very much doubt you can double dip

I have had this happen in the past and for some flights coming up. My employer books through Qantas Business Travel however I have had some segments on Virgin metal with VA flight numbers. I usually get status credits but no velocity points (same as what I get for my QBT bookings with Qantas flights). So I guess you can expect the same.
Thanks Stevo. I suspect they do use QBT. So when you say you usually get status credits but no Velocity points, I assume you mean the status credits are with Velocity also? I guess you can't earn QF points and status credits on the VA metal? (even though it is booked thru Qantas Business Travel, with my QFF number)
Yea,Usually Virgin's online 'My Bookings' wont let me add my Velocity number if it's booked through QBT. But a quick call and it's sorted.
Zero for QFF and only status credits for Velocity.
