Rumour is that it hasnt been announced because they can't agree on the rate. Its odd they didn't agree that before announcing that it would happen.
Apparently VA want a poor rate, while SQ want an appalling one. If SQ get their way I doubt they'll even bother going ahead with it because no one will bother transferring.

Yep hapenned about 2 years ago - ability to transfer velocity points to krisflyer however is said to happen this month

It would be cool to be able to transfer SQ points to VA points. Would make choosing a Star Alliance rewards scheme easier :)
