Apparently Equity partners Airlines are not invited, including VA.
Do note that this is a selective status match promotion - that is, even if you have an eligible status with another airline - it's discretionary (at Etihad's decision). You may or may not be matched (there has been some suggestion they are favouring US based flyers first and foremost, with a bit more analysis for everyone else).
