There is no BA lounge at Sydney, only a Qantas lounge, and you can't use any international lounge at Sydney on arrival from the UK or anywhere else overseas.

True, although the question mentions that the poster is travelling onwards domestically within Australia.

If you're flying onwards with Qantas on the same day, you can use the domestic business class lounge in between flights even if your onward flight is in economy.

From the lounge rules:

--

International Business oneworld Customers

Eligible if travelling on a Qantas domestic flight connecting to or from a oneworld flight in International Business on the same day

No guest allowed.

Who are you flying with? Single ticket?

last year I flew QF f to Sydney then on to abx in y. Presented my f boarding card at the domestic business lounge for breakfast and a shower.

hope this helps

Hi Elizabeth, I know how important to people with a disability (particularly a mobility disability) access to a shower and the ability to freshen up can be when coming off a long-haul International flight (it's more than just a nicety).

As has been pointed out above, you will be able to use the showers in the Qantas domestic lounge if you are connecting to a Qantas (or BA codeshare) domestic flight from your International BA flight, provided your International flight was Business Class or better (even if the domestic leg is just in Econimy) and/or you are a OneWorld Emerald or Sapphire.

If, however, your International flight is Ecomony or World Traveller Plus (and you don't have OneWorld Emerald or Sapphire status) then showers are available at T1 (the International terminal at SYD). This is the information provided on the SYDNEY Airport website:

Shower facilities are available at the general check-in area near check-in counters A and K on the departures level.

There are also shower facilities located airside (passenger only access) near Gate 31, Gate 51 and Gate 24 (male only) on the departures level.

You will need to supply all provisions for the use of the shower. These provisions may also be purchased at some of our retail outlets.
