I am P with QFF and have several j flights booked with SQ. thinking of aligning these to va to acquire gold or platinum. I do however need some domestic flights with VA. Is there anyway of persuading them to allow me access to the VA lounge during these flights, my status match with ethihad has just expired. My wife has 2 complimentary passes on her VA silver card but I believe these are not transferrable. Does anyone have a premium number for VA so I can at least ask the question?
They will probably/hopefully offer you a Pilot Gold or Pilot Platinum status match. I know with the Pilot Gold, they usually set you a target of 80 SC within 3 months to attain full Gold for 12 months. I understand that Pilot Gold has 'full privledges' as Gold for domestic VA purposes, but not sure how it stacks up with VA's international partners.

Pilot Gold used to be much easier to get, now only their corporate sales team are able to grant it as far as Im aware (and was told when requested for a friend a few months ago)
I got pilot gold easily around 3 years ago and have been gold since.

I know that many people have purchased lounge membership, and then received a pro rata refund when they hit gold.

AMEX Velocity Platinum comes with 2 lounge passes... Depends how many flights are needed.
