For the regional flights the AA flights are branded American Eagle operated by Compass. I am not a frequent traveler to the US and was wondering if there was any feedback from the wider Ausbt community on Compass. I did google American Eagle and Compass however the information I found was not entirely helpful.

Not sure what exactly you are after, but they are usually on smaller aircraft like the CRJ, so don't bring a lot of carry on.   Usually 2x2 seating in Y and 1x2 in J/F.  They operate as one carrier under AA, (like QantasLink with Qantas), so check-in is usually in the same areas.

AA does not grant lounge access to OW of any tier or those flying in first class regarless on purely domestic tickets.

That's incorrect - AA doesn't provide access to its own frequent flyers on purely domestic tickets, but if you have Oneworld Sapphire/Emerald status with any other Oneworld airline (such as Qantas), you indeed have access - Emeralds to Flagship Lounges and Admirals Clubs, and Sapphires to Admirals Club only.

Just want to confirm that as a QF gold, travelling on an AA booking throughout North America in first and getting my points to my QF account that I can access the AA lounges. I have had so many different responses from AA and QF says to contact AA all the time I have asked.

Yes, you'd be able to access AA lounges (Admirals Club).

I'm QF Plat/OWE and travel quite a bit through NAMR in theier domestic First and no issues with accessing their lounges ( Admirals Club or Flaghsip Lounge where it's offered).
