Any airline that still offers 2-2-2 config with no direct aisle or full flat in J class has to be 20years behind the game. 


I consider 1-2-1 and direct aisle access now pretty much the baseline when booking J class for myself. Otherwise what's the point for paying that much more on a mid-long haul flight, right??

JAL 2/3/2 (with direct access) works quite well, too bad the bed is short even if it is wide (I am 6'5'" but a side sleeper)

With so many excellent products out there how poorly competitive is Qantas'? Their a330 product is now as good as the rest of the pack but the a380? 


What are your thoughts?

for all the complainers out there, either fly the quality SIA or take a slow yet delightful cruise ship to Europe

EK J class seats are woeful.

Very confined and poorly designed with almost the same seat width  as economy. There's plenty of other  Airlines with vastly better seats to choose from so I give EKI a big miss.

Absolutely, really don't like the EK J seat on an of their planes. poor.

Looking forward to trying Qatar's J seat on their A350 from JFK-DOH and then get their Dreamliner to HKG. I really like QF's new J seat. Think it is WAY better than the CX one which is feel is very tired and uncomfortable.

I'd say either British Airways or Air France.


BA because of its layout, and Air France because it's angle lie flat.

I would of said Lufthansa as well, but they've refitted their A380 Business Product, so not them.
