Hi all - I've just realised I have 30k points in my Velocity FF account and was wondering if anyone had ideas on the best way to utilise them.
I was a Velocity FF for a short period and amassed these points before changing allegiance to Qantas FF last year. I had completely forgotten about them until Virgin emailed me a promotion for the estore, showing my points balance.
All my upcoming travel is booked on Qantas or OW and I prefer to travel in premium cabins where possible. I frequently travel to South America, but doesn't appear Virgin has good connections there, nor do I have enough points to make it.
VA sometimes gives pretty higher fare class for the domestic leg in a code sharing journey even the total price is for a lower fare class. For example, the Mel - per leg can be easily upgraded to J class (by using only 9900 ff points) on a flexy-saver Mel - per - sin ticket.
