If you dont want to pay for an exit row, or an x seat. Best bet will be 51B/J they usually have couples and if you nab one you are unlikely have someone next to you , of course with the loading on the VA flights at the moment you would have decent chance of three seats to yourself if you go for a A or K seat anywhere towards the back of the bus.. Mind you I would just pay the extra for the x seat.. its worth it.

Pretty sure platinum velocity do get choice of seats without paying? Or is that only domestic?
