AusBT Team and Community- first time poster, long time lurker!
I am a VA Gold member flying through Abu Dhabi to Europe in about two weeks (very excited!!).
Just got off the phone with Etihad to clarify some seating arrangements and asked the Etihad assistant about lounge access privileges in Abu Dhabi as a VA Gold Member.
They informed me that recent changes in October has essentially seen VA Gold membership privileges now mirror Etihad Guest Gold arrangements, including Lounge Access privileges in Terminal 3. The lady - who was very helpful - said we are entitled to use the Etihad Business Lounge in Terminal 3.
This is surprising as there is no clarification of this on the VA lounge website, in forums or reported here on AusBT. Would someone be able to check this out and ensure that this information is correct? I hope so- it would would make many frequent flyer's lives much easier!

Good luck and let us know. If flying Business then yes you’ll have access being gold but mainly due to the J ticket.. if flying Y and Gold I didn’t have any luck last time getting in...

I was there in September with no luck, but that does fit with the timeline of October changes. Huge news if true, let us know how it goes.
