I am going to be booking a business class award with my velocity points shortly. It will be on a Singapore Airlines flight from Brisbane to Singapore. Will I be able to select seats and choose my book the cook service seeing as it's not booked directly through the SQ website?

You'll need to obtain the SQ booking reference number from Velocity and then use it to select your seats and meals on the SQ website.

However, it may be more advantageous to transfer your Velocity points to KrisFlyer to book your award directly with SQ, depending on whether Velocity absorbs the fuel surcharge for SQ award booking (which I believe they still do) or on-charges it to you.

For BNE-SIN it's best to book directly with VA. 65k VFF and no YQ. KF charges 58k KF = 78.3k VA.

Thanks Guys. Booking a Business redemption over there and a first redemption back on the new A380 Suite to Sydney. Very Exciting.

How did you get first on the A380? Velocity only allows for business. Or did you transfer to SQ
